![]() On the HP PC Hardware Diagnostics (UEFI) main menu, click System Tests.Turn on the computer and immediately press Esc repeatedly, about once every second. ![]() Hold the power button for at least five seconds to turn off the computer. While you respond to that, I recommend you perform a test on the touchscreen and let me know the result. Have you performed any troubleshooting steps before posting?.Have you made any software or hardware changes on the computer?.When was the last time the computer was working fine?.In order that I may provide you with an accurate solution, I will need a few more details and I would appreciate if you could, perhaps elaborate on your concern. This is a wonderful place to converse with the community, get assistance and find tips. WOULD GREATLY APPRECIATE any solutions other than this, or if anyone has encountered a similar issue and had better luck with HP support. I am seriously annoyed and frustrated by this, I PAID for a touchscreen laptop and the only way that I can use it is if I disable its selling point feature? I can not afford to fork out a few more grand for a new one if more issues persist - especially seeing as it’s less than 18months old! The guy from HP installed a bunch of updates remotely and I’ve rused out the possibility it is a virus, however after trawling these forums the only solution I’ve found is to TURN OFF MY TOUCHSCREEN in device manager? I have spent 2 unsuccessful days chatting with HP (guy said he’d call me back to follow up and never did.) over this issue which rendered my laptop unusable in the most stressful week of uni assignments, exams and deadlinesīasically, ill I’ll be working on my laptop and out of no where the touch screen will flicker, change the tab, open/close apps, randomly flick to Cortana and jump the cursor away from where I am typing.
